It was middle of the night when I heard “Code Bravo, Code Bravo, Code Bravo! Deck 9, forward” 🔥🔥🔥🔥… First thing on my sleepy mind was “idiots can you please keep it quiet”, 😴🛌 then the message hit me and jumped from the bed trying to remember should I do anything or if there is any specific call for action. A few minutes later we had another announcement to disregard the message. My heart was pounding and could not go back to sleep. It was just a smoke on the bridge :D ahaha well now I need a smoke… 🚬
It is difficult
sometimes being around people 24/7. But the good thing is to have friends to laugh
about it. As the Trainer on the ship, frequently we are getting feedback without
asking for it. So, you fascinatingly build up filters to absorb only the necessary.
Except professional life, we also live a private life. Every so often we have a
challenge to stay professional onboard. Life
onboard includes friends, love, happiness, desires, money, sex, career, and
gossips. Sometimes you can be overwhelmed with all of it.
Since I joined this
new ship, bizarrely I feel relaxed. All crew is very welcoming. Which is great because
my cabin sucks. If I spread my arms, I can literally touch the walls. My bed is
ttttiny, I can turn around but cannot imagine anyone else being here with me. I
have bunkbed, the one on top was used as storage, because there is no room
enough for proper closet. But! Huge thing and luxury is not having any roommates.
So, you have privacy and also you can use the bathroom whenever you want, and
nobody will have sex just above your head 😊

department.

Diving into the Engine tribe – they’re the unsung backstage heroes. Under the watchful eyes of the Chief Engineer - my pal, Dr. Pessimism. In his 50s, with skyscraper height, he roams the ship at a pace reminiscent of slow-mo scenes in movies. He's got a knack for witty remarks but carries a dose of melancholy. And boy, does he have a fan club of women! 🕺💕
You don’t just waltz in and nab the Chief Engineer title. It’s a crown of dedication, learning, and experience. Whatever the definition of a "normal life" is, he's traded it for engine oil and salty air.
The engine lads might be out of the limelight, but they've got charm, class, and throw shindigs that are the stuff of legends. 🥳 😊💃🏻🎉🎈🥳👯♂️👯♀️
The crown jewel of their domain? The Engine Control Room. It's like stepping into a sci-fi film. Screens galore, funky buttons, and joysticks that probably don’t control a giant ship claw machine (or do they?). It's the hub where the ship’s tech wizards ensure everything's running smoother than a jazz playlist.
Catch you on the flip side, amigos! 🙋🏼♀️🌊🚢
